An Overview of My Practice
I offer comprehensive counsel to individuals and businesses, handling a wide range of legal concerns, including:
- Business litigation: I represent businesses and business owners as plaintiffs or defendants in commercial litigation.
- Fiduciary matters: I represent trustees who face lawsuits because of the performance of their duties, as well as lawyers, corporate officers and others defending themselves against allegations of breach of fiduciary duty. I also represent plaintiffs in breach of fiduciary duty cases.
- Employment law issues: I represent both employers and employees in a wide range of disputes, including employment discrimination and sexual harassment matters. I assist with the negotiation of employment contracts, including severance packages. I represent employees and employers in whistleblower actions, as well as litigation involving non-compete or non-solicitation agreements. I also assist employers with internal investigations.
- Legal malpractice claims: I can represent either side in a legal malpractice claim and I handle cases involving claims of legal negligence, misrepresentation and breach of ethical standards.
I have been Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1996. I am also AV-rated by my colleagues in the legal profession under Martindale-Hubbell's Peer Review Rating System*. I have been named a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly magazine every year since 2005.
